Daniel Charlton DDS, Del Mar CA

I found Daniel Charlton at Del Mar View Dental Care after a bad experience with another dentist. I recently told them they were priceless - and I meant it.

When you walk in, you are greeted by an immediate sense of quality. The greeting staff is always warm, friendly, polite and accommodating and you are surrounded by an environment that was obviously carefully designed to be peaceful and serene. There is internet access, a plethora of magazines and coffee while you wait - which is never long. This dentist is on time.

I think that the cleaning area is actually called the ‘cleaning spa’ or something similar and it most certainly does have a spa feel to it. Although the equipment is state of the art, clean and sterile, there is nothing sterile feeling about the experience. The dental hygienists are knowledgeable, caring and gentle. You can even watch a dvd while…

Dentist Reviews - Bad Experiences with : Richard Tannyhill, Roland Buyama and Jeffry Fabie

Last week, my nine year old son broke his two front teeth in a skateboarding accident. We took him to the ER to make sure nothing else was broken or damaged. We were instructed to follow up with a dentist the next morning.

He was taken off of his step father’s insurance in January so I put him on Medi-Cal. That, however, meant that his old dentist, who I love, (not PERSONALLY love.. just.. professionally love.) (As a client.) (not like a client who is also a stalker. Just a client.) (Not even one who remotely loves her dentist affectionately.) (But his work? I would marry it.) wouldn’t be covered under Denti-Cal so I had to find him a new one.

The following are my own personal first hand experiences with these dentists. Your mileage may vary.

Roland M Buyama, a pedontist in Oceanside, CA

That night, I spent hours scouring the dental…

LuckyMojo Experience Followup - Much Better!

Monday, February 9, 2009 10:19

I must say that after relating the experience to several Feri family members and hearing that it was uncharacteristic, I was a bit confused about the whole thing and didn’t post the entry that was written almost two years ago.

However, I finally posted my experience with luckymojo.com, the hoodoo store, after receiving an email that my student status was going to become ‘inactive’, well over a year after the fact.

Although I did have a negative experience with luckymojo.com, I am glad to have a positive update. The emails that I received over the past few days from Cat’s (the owner) partner, as a result of the ‘phantom’ student status, have been nothing but kind and accommodating and have made the experience much more pleasant.

Turns out, after emailing back and forth with Cat’s partner, who takes an active role in the business, that the experience that I had doesn’t…

Horrible experience with Luckymojo.com, online hoodoo store

Sunday, February 1, 2009 8:50

I had a peculiar, bizzare and otherwise absurd experience with luckymojo.com. luckymojo.com is a website based upon an in person shop which specializes in hoodoo related merchandise. They sell powders, candles etc and the site has a wealth of hoodoo information on it.

However, although the information on hoodoo on the site is great, the shop really isn’t that great, it turns out. The following is my personal experience. Take it or leave it. Your mileage may vary.

When I was doing resale, I decided to place a wholesale order for them because I wanted their stuff in the shop. The entire ordering experience was a nightmare. Even worse was the particularly unpleasant demeanor of the employee, Ernie and the owner, Cat.

None of the order process is automated. I had to email to get a copy of the wholesale catalog, which is a text list. You read the text list and…

Review of Carbonite

Saturday, April 26, 2008 12:16

I needed a backup solution that was easy and trustworthy and preferably one that I don’t have to manage constantly. I also wanted one (again, preferably) off site in case something happened to my computer like theft or fire. I decided to use Carbonite based upon a Lifehacker story comparing Carbonite to other services. I got 15 days to try it out for free so I figured, what the heck. I tried it.

From moment one, Carbonite was really simple to use. I set up an account and was backing up within minutes. It installs a small client to your computer and that client is smart enough to either pick out the most commonly backed up files - or to allow you to choose what to back up and what not to. There were lots of warnings that the initial back up could date over a week. It only backs up during idle time and…

Weir Canyon Honda, Anaheim - A Review from Personal Experience

Posted in category Companies/Stores

This review of Weir Canyon Honda is comprised of my own personal experience with Weir Canyon Honda in Anaheim, CA. I can’t attest to anyone else’s experience but I can say that this is exactly what happened to us. As you know, buying a car is a pretty big investment. If you’re going to give someone over 10 grand of your money, be sure you’re giving it to the right people. If you’re in the market for a Honda, I wouldn’t give that money to Weir Canyon Honda.

Last year, I bought a new 06 Honda Civic (I did NOT buy it at Weir Canyon Honda). I had such an amazing experience and my car is so awesome, of course, that Ryan recently decided to follow suit and buy an 07 Honda Civic Si. BECAUSE we had such an amazing experience with our last sales person (I don’t want to…

Vonage

Standard Disclaimer : This is my experience with Vonage phone service. Your milage with Vonage might vary. I can only write my review and let you decide for yorself whether Vonage is right for you.

I signed up with Vonage in October because I needed a phone for my new company that was portable and which had accessible voice mail. Because Vonage is internet based and fairly affordable, it seemed to be the right choice. Finally, after my business launched and I had an in-person shop, I needed to disconnect that number as it was no longer being used.

In order to disconnect service, you HAVE to call in person. You cannot do it via their online account manager. Warning sign number 1. You just KNOW, at that point, that they are going to try to get you to not disconnect.

I called and was connected with ‘Vee’. I requested my account to be disconnected. After…

AmEx Movers (AmExMovers Inc.) - Buyer Beware!

Monday, March 5, 2007 11:55

We recently hired AmExMovers Inc. to move our furniture to our new house when we relocated.

I’m usually not this forthright in a review. I prefer to allow you to make your own decisions. The thing is though, most moving companies require that you pay the movers when they are on-site and that you pay them in cash. That is standard. So if you’re going to be there with a few hundred dollars and you intend to allow a company to pack up all of your earthy belongings into a truck and move it for you, in exchange for that cash, you need the truth about them. The truth about this company is, if I had to do it all over again, I would run screaming in the other direction from AmEx Movers (AmExMovers Inc.).

I have to add this disclaimer : This is my personal experience with this company. This…

New Hair

I always get compliments on my hair. Not because it’s perfect hair.. but because my hair dresser, she is fab. I finally went back to red not too long ago. It just wasn’t staying brown, no matter how hard I tried. :) And then I went yesterday and got it cut again. There are pictures below the cut. Hah.. get it? Pictures of my cut… below the… eh.. :)

I have sent three other people to this salon - not including my DH and kids, who now go there too. I highly recommend it. Any of the stylists are good. Beth is my personal hair savior though. I have full faith that I can tell her to do whatever she wants to do and it always turns out cute.
