How to Get Free YoCash (Safely)
Sunday, May 24, 2009 15:57I have quickly become addicted to yoville. Yay for no strings attached home decorating and attention to tiny miniature little perfect pieces of minutia! However, there isn’t a whole lot you can do in yoville without yocash or yocoins.
Yoville is a game application available on at least myspace and facebook (maybe others?) in which the player can dress their character, buy houses and furnish them and otherwise socialize with other characters. In line with other social networking site applications, it’s not a really feature rich game but it’s fun if you’re into that sort of thing.
If you can get yocash, you can convert it into yocoins at the bank - which is what most items in the stores are priced in. But how do you get yocash? Here is how to build your daily store of yocash for free or little cost.
- Visit the factory every six hours to get 200 yocoins. The more crew you have, the bigger your salary is so recruit friends to yoville.
- Visit each of your friends once a day and do actions with them. Each time you do this (once a day, you get anywhere from 1 to 10 coins (appears to be at random)
- Play games with other players. You can win up to 200 yocoins per day this way. Each game you win, you get 10 yocoins. Each draw gives both players 5 yocoins. You don’t lose yocoins for losing.
- While logged into your facebook avatar (I have been unsuccessful at doing this on myspace so I’m not sure it’s available), go to yoville.com. Click on other people’s profiles. Go to their comments and click their friend’s profiles. Randomly, a pot of gold will appear at the top of the page. Click it for 5 yocoins up to 10 times.
- Yoville is ultimately supported by it’s players. That means that you can purchase yocash with real life money by clicking on ‘buy more yocash’ at the top of the app. The exchange is ok but not great. However, they offer you several ways to EARN yocash by generating ad revenue for them. Ew.. ads = spam, adware, viruses! There are a few tricks to doing this without risk to you though :
- Make no mistake, ads do = spam. If in your internet journeys, you haven’t already, create an email address specifically for spam.
- NEVER (that word is blink-worthy) do download offers. These invariably infect your computer with spyware.
- Create an alter identification just for these ‘fill out a form’ offers. Do not give them your real street address and never give them your cell phone number. Giving out your birthdate, ss # or mother’s maiden name are no-nos. But you’ll never actually use these sites again and they have no way of knowing. Make up all of this information before starting this process and stick with it.
- Choose offers that are free, do not require purchase and do not require a cell phone. These will often require you to click through a whole bunch of ads. Click through, spend 15 minutes, get some yocash.
- If you have a few bucks to spend, choose ads that require a purchase and go for things that you actually WANT and/or under $5. These often yield much higher yocash than simply outright buying yocash for the same amount.
Follow the offers to the letter. You don’t have to commit to anything. Ultimately, as long as you follow the minimum requirements for the offer, the offer provider pays yoville a commission. Half of the ‘offers’ you encounter are there specifically to harvest your personal information to use in scams and other ad campaigns.

A great tip for those who are more PC inclined..
Set up a virtual machine on your computer. If you don’t have one currently, or have the money to purchase a software package that does this, the multi-platform Sun VirtualBox is a great program (Available for Mac OS X, Windows & Linux and note, you WILL need a spare license for Windows.) Install and update the Windows OS and install whatever plug-ins may be needed (read Flash 10). Find the Snapshot feature in your program (it may also be called a save state) and take a snapshot of the computer. What this does is it takes a picture of your machine as is. Install whatever toolbars or software that which is required for the yocash offers. Wait for your yocash to be credited to your account and restore from your snapshot. Clean computer, and you have yocash. :) Repeat as desired.
