Remove Yourself from the Deluge of Junk Mail
Friday, May 30, 2008 15:40 No CommentsOpening my mailbox, pulling out a heap of mail and finding that 99% of it is junk irritates me to no end. A few years ago, I requested that the credit agencies stop giving out my information. There was a decrease in mail but I was still getting stuff like Penny Saver, which my mailman told me there was no way to stop! :/ All I do is throw that stuff away and I have to imagine that hundreds of thousands of other households do the same thing. What a waste! All of that paper, printing, electricity and man hours for something like that to just be tossed.
And all of that doesn’t even mention the fact that mailing lists are a prime hunting ground for identity thieves. Hell, even opening your mailbox and digging through it in ONE DAY could give someone enough information about you to potentially open…
How I Use Google Calendar as a GTD tool
Sunday, April 20, 2008 11:38 1 CommentAgain.. used to use MS Outlook Calendar and sync it with my Treo. I’m SO OVER THAT. Google calendar far surpasses Outlook in ease of use where getting things done is concerned. Here’s what I do with it :

There is tons of info out there on why Remember the Milk is a great getting things done tool. This is Why *I* think it’s awesome and how *I* use it.
- It’s free. Outlook is hundreds of dollars.
- It’s online so it’s available everywhere. You can browse it with your cell phone. And when you don’t have an internet connection? If you use google gears, you can still access your Remember the Milk content.
- You can have as many task lists as you want. This makes it easy to divide tasks into ‘projects’. For instance, I have a list for ‘home’, which is home related tasks…
