Opening my mailbox, pulling out a heap of mail and finding that 99% of it is junk irritates me to no end. A few years ago, I requested that the credit agencies stop giving out my information. There was a decrease in mail but I was still getting stuff like Penny Saver, which my mailman told me there was no way to stop! :/ All I do is throw that stuff away and I have to imagine that hundreds of thousands of other households do the same thing. What a waste! All of that paper, printing, electricity and man hours for something like that to just be tossed.

And all of that doesn’t even mention the fact that mailing lists are a prime hunting ground for identity thieves. Hell, even opening your mailbox and digging through it in ONE DAY could give someone enough information about you to potentially open…

Living with Someone who is Chronically Depressed - I really admire Heather. I started meds almost 2 years ago for depression. I was lucky that the first one I tried worked and at a fairly low dosage and although I’ve tried to wean myself down too quickly before, I haven’t had the crisis periods that she’s had. His story might be more extreme than what it’s like to live with me but it is interesting to hear his side of things as someone who really takes an active role in helping her with it. It does take some basic awareness to successfully live with someone who is depressed. Enough to not take it personally and to kick in and help manage stress when we need it.

Today, I get my first day off in over a month. I have been at it 7 days a week for a MONTH. So what do I do? I plop down in front of the computer to read blogs. It has been SO LONG since I got to read blogs that some of the blogs I read have been on hiatus and COME BACK since last time I read them. Hopefully that is also some indication of why I haven’t been the most responsive emailer in the world.
