As a web designer, I used to hate Mozilla and Netscape because IE let me get away with so much that Mozilla and Netscape didnt code-wise. Then IE started sprouting security issues like armit hair on a hippy. Something had to be done *cue mystery theme music*

My network admin at work prompted employees to use Mozilla Firefox. So I did. At work only. Being the avid internet user that I am, I considered it an experiment in crap browsers. But I was pleasantly suprised. I would up making the switch from IE to Mozilla Firefox in July. I now use it at home and at work.

Firefox boasts a hella-good pop up blocker and tabbed browsing - which is nice when you have lots of windows open at once, among other things. Firefox RARELY crashes on me - as opposed to a few times a day in IE. The adjustment to the interface was minimal and now I absolutely despise IE. :)

Last night I was coaching a friend over the telephone thru fixing her computer. She had clicked on a pop up which wound up killing IE. We adjusted all of her internet settings, cleared her cache etc - no go. So we reinstalled IE. Still nothing. I sent her Firefox, she installed and was up and running in minutes. Firefox saves the day again.
