Beyond the Surface

T-Love came in to talk to me about a dream he had.. I offered some advice, he came up with his own idea.. I think that’s great.. I think everyone should have their own ideas.. don’t get me wrong.. but then he said.. wouldn’t it be great if you really could get inside someone’s head? You could solve so many problems…

see, thats the problem.. I know an AWFUL lot about what people think.. their motivation and their future.. I see it in the way they talk, the things they say, the way they move.. I wouldn’t go so far as to say I’m in their head.. but I guess this is about as close as one could get.. I have the ability to immerse myself in someone else’s soul.. But no matter what I say, they always come up with their own ideas. Ive learned to keep my mouth shut and listen. Just listen and allow them to work it out themselves and eventually come to the conclusions they need to come to on their own.. because really thats all anyone really wants.. they want to find the answers.. not to be told the answers..

so no, T-Love.. I cant read your mind.. but I know where you’ve been, where you are and where you’re going.. it wont do you any good to ask because you wont believe me.. or you wont see what I mean until you are right on top of it :)
