Feri

Susie brought me a pretty blue peacock ornament. Sarah painted me a watercolor peacock and framed it. Justin sent me a link to peacock stuff - and Highlander… not so much sent me as sent me to Blockbuster. And all of these things descended upon me this week as if to say “Yo, bitch. You forgot about Your Peacock Eminence.” No, m’Lord.. I didn’t forget about you. It’s just easy to get swept away sometimes.

Feri… is so…. very. Somebody used to say that to me all the time.. Carrie is so Very. I don’t remember who though… it’s usually Carrie Bear now. I digress. Feri is just… Feri. It picks you up, twists you around, tears you apart and spits you out on an entirely different level. There are a million paths out there someone could follow and anyone that chooses Feri needs to look very closely for their inner sadist.

As I’m going through it, it would be easy to get caught up in how horrible things are. But as I sent my update into Storm’s class yesterday, I realized just how much warning and prep work went into getting me ready for these demons. Things with Gertrude escalated and really put me in a state of mind to deal with something like this. TPH classes could have gotten going months ago… but it didn’t. I taught my first class just in time. Justintime. Justin! The series of events that put him in my path in just the right way to make me really hear him make my head spin.

That stuff isn’t Feri. It’s life… true path workin’ it’s self out. All of those people and situations will spin off in other directions and their interactions with me will change them in some way and it won’t be from my perspective. It will be in a way that furthers their own true path. But Feri… The fabric of Feri is embracing true path as wild and untamed as the ride may be sometimes.

It’s not the tools of Feri that make Feri. The tools of Feri just help us to get beyond them. They help us to grasp that unpredictable current of ecstasy of Being that is so far beyond the mundane world. They make it easier to grab it with both hands without being thrown off. They help make us as native to that place as possible and then send us on our way to fend for ourselves.

He stomps, his eyes flash, he shakes his tail feathers and the skies fill with thunder and my Being shivers in delight.
