Top Ten Tips for Online Dating for Guys (what not to do)

As a girl who uses dating sites, I find it extraordinarily difficult to weed through all the crap. However, there are some really easy ways to weed out the obvious ones. If you have any interest whatsoever in landing a female with a brain, here are 10 things you should not do.

  1. Choose a user name with the words ’smooth’, ‘jerk’, ‘psycho’.
  2. Add no information to your profile or put some trite message there like “I cant sum myself up in a paragraph” or “just email if you want to know”.
  3. If you are 30, still live with your parents, don’t have a job or a car - just give up.
  4. Email her in txt speak, with lowercase I’s or with no punctuation or proper capitalization.
  5. Use a picture of yourself that you took on your webcam in your bedroom with your dirty laundry in the background
  6. Post a picture with your ex obviously cut out. Except for her arm.
  7. Start a conversation, let it gradually fad into one line replies, never having asked her out. Then email a week later like you’re still in or something.
  8. Post nothing but posed pictures. Especially the ones of you flexing or otherwise obviously trying to look cool.
  9. Realize if she’s cute, that there are at least 20 other guys emailing her but don’t get all meta about it.
  10. No pictures in the bathroom mirror of nothing but abs and chest.

I think any of these could apply to finding real women on Criag’s list as well. Of course, then you’d have to remind the guys that they should not include penis pictures.

    >If you are 30, still live with your parents, don’t have a job or a car - just give up.

So if I have a car, I’m good right?

    Kidding. Kidding.

I’m just about through with website dating. What I see again and again are women who say they’re tired of the kind of guys they meet in clubs, and then they end it by saying if you aren’t at least 6ft tall with a six figure income, don’t bother replying. Gee, I wonder why the guys you date are all shallow dicks who treat you like crap when you go in with an attitude like that.

I’m not saying that women shouldn’t want some sort of financial security and attractiveness in their mates, and if they happen to possess desirable qualities definitely go for someone in your league. But when you start talking about wanting someone with depth and intelligence who will love you for who you really are, and then don’t even want to give someone a chance unless they make an absurd amount of money or meet a superficial height requirement (which can’t be helped), it just makes me hope that these women end up with exactly the kind of men they’re looking for so that all of the jerks (on both sides) get phased out of the dating pool.

I’ve also noticed that eharmoney discriminates if you’re not Christian, even though they don’t explicitly advertise as a Christian dating service.

And to poor, naive Tobiwan, there are no real women on Criagslist.

Do men impersonating women count as real women?
    … … I didn’t think so.

Have you ever heard someone say that the more you act interested in a women the less likely she is to be interested in you? If you are still struggling on this notion, and want to learn how to attract women without looking needy
